Some gypsums are characterized by a fast hardening and retarders are consequentely required in order to give the suitable working time. The workability of gypsum depends on a complex interplay of a variety of parameters such as the origin of the gypsum (natural or artificial), the kind and the amount of impurities, the production (calcination process and grinding conditions) and the amount of water with which the gypsum is mixed as well the preparation and the application.
Gypsum Retarder is a highly efficient setting retarder by increasing the workability time proportionately to the dosage.
Gypsum Retarder acts as retarder in the gypsum-water mixture slowing down the growth of the hydrate crystals.
The Gypsum Retarder is characterized by the correlation between setting time and dosage and gives excellent performance at both high and low dosage rates.Generally Gypsum Retarder is used alone in gypsum formulations but it is totally compatible for use in formulations containing citric and tartaric acidin order to have a delayed hardening and a suitable consistence/time diagram.
Strong retarding performance. It can provide required setting time for gypsum mortar at low dosage, with minimal influence on the dry strength of the gypsum.
The setting time changed steadily and linearly with dosage increasing.Strong retarding performance. It can provide required setting time for gypsum mortar at low dosage, with minimal influence on the dry strength of the gypsum.

Add in proportion and mix thoroughly. Recommended dosage is 0.05 - 0.5% of binder weight.
Exact dosage rates are dependent on the type of effect sought, quality of cement and aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes.
For powder: Powder packed in 25kg bag.
